Wong Tai Sin Centre | Link REIT Wong Tai Sin 'Wall of Fortune' Bringing Together the Calligraphy of 108 Co-creators, 'Catch Fortune, Pass It On' AR Interactive Game Spreads Joy and Unites Community Cheer and Charity
Description
Conceived by Link REIT and curated by artistic director Ng Chung, the public art installation 'Link REIT Wong Tai Sin Wall of Fortune' is located at 'Blessing Lane', the main passageway connecting the tourist hotspot Wong Tai Sin Temple, Exit B3 of Wong Tai Sin MTR Station, and the North Wing of Wong Tai Sin Centre. It bridges contemporary design with traditional calligraphy art and the district's blessing culture, featuring a 60-foot-long and 12.5-foot-high cultural scroll composed of 108 'Fu' (blessing) characters handwritten by people from all walks of life. To spread the blessings, Link REIT has also launched a 'Catch Fortune, Pass It On' AR interactive game across three shopping malls, where participants can capture different 'Fu' characters within a time limit via their smartphones and redeem a limited gift upon collecting a specified number. They will also stand a chance to win in the grand lucky draw with prizes worth over HK$200,000.
'A Wall of Fortune, A City of Blessings' — Link REIT Wong Tai Sin Wall of Fortune
The 108 co-creators from diverse backgrounds have contributed their unique calligraphy to form the Wall of Fortune, including eminent figures in society, sports stars, artists, community partners, and young students, such as world-renowned designer and artist Dr. Kan Tai-keung, Cantonese lyricist Cheng Kok-kong, supervisor of Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple Dr. Lee Yu-fai, former world champion and Olympic gold medalist in windsurfing Lee Lai-shan, winner of the 2025 World Fencing Championships in men's foil Cheung Chun-yin, and veteran Hong Kong actress Wong Hsia-huei. Each 'Fu' character encapsulates a distinct meaning and wish. The Wall of Fortune not only infuses Hong Kong with blessings but also creates a new cultural landmark, aiming to attract locals and visitors alike to experience the blessings woven together by 108 hearts, appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Hong Kong, and feel the blessings and warmth unique to the city.
'Catch Fortune, Pass It On' AR Interactive Game Spreading Joy and Blessings throughout the City
During the promotion period, Wong Tai Sin Centre, T Town, and Kai Tin Shopping Centre will jointly present the 'Catch Fortune, Pass It On' AR interactive game. Within a 30-second time limit, participants can capture different styles of 'Fu' characters in the designated gaming areas of the malls using their smartphones. Upon collecting a specified number, they can redeem a gift at the customer service counter, available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
During the game, participants may randomly come across a 'Golden Fu' character, which grants an additional chance in the grand lucky draw. Each valid phone number registered for the first time also earns one extra chance in the draw (with prizes worth over HK$200,000). There is no daily limit on gameplay, so feel free to come and catch blessings anytime. The prize redemption details for the grand lucky draw will be announced later.
This meaningful event also incorporates charity. For every 'Fu' character caught, Link REIT will donate HK$1 to Sik Sik Yuen Co-Care Elderly Centre (up to a maximum of HK$100,000). Through charitable giving, the joy of playing the game is transformed into care and blessings, spreading happiness and doing good.
